Nicolas Touron

Nicolas Touron is a multi-media artist. He was born in France and currently lives in Brooklyn. At twenty-one he moved to Amsterdam and studied art/audiovisuals at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. In the Netherlands his work has been displayed in public places (subway stations, Museum of Ethnology…). Nicolas Touron was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 2001, to pursue a MFA at the School of Visual Art New York, where he currently teaches. His drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations have been exhibited in solo and group shows, notably at Virgil de Voldère Gallery, Josee Bienvenu Gallery, Priska C. Juschka Gallery NYC ,Galerie Bugdahn und Kaimer, Dusseldorf Germany and in other countries including Japan, Italy, Spain and France. Articles about his work have been published in the NY Times, Flash Art, Time Magazine, The Village Voice, New American Painting and L’Oeil.
