PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER! (#marsha + #paulette studies) by WaxFactory

“Shoshona Sands invites you to her 6th annual seasonal soiree at Cherry Hill. For a mystical evening of old friends and new, amongst the trees and ocean breeze, where we will be serving up the perfect cocktail of whimsy, wonder, and champagne, all against the backdrop of an idyllic summer evening.”

WaxFactory shares a showing of most recent studies presented as part of a multi-year process of developing the new company work titled PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER! – an in-depth investigation of Anton Chekhov’s classic The Seagull. The aim of this exploration is to discover ways in which this iconic, century-old play resonates in the 21st century America, and specifically a metropolis that is the New York City. Contemporary parallels are drawn and incorporated along the way to examine our society’s destructive obsession with celebrity, hedonism and excess.

Principal investigators: Ivan Talijancic (direction/design concept); Erika Latta, Melody Bates, Gillian Chadsey, Kestrel Leah (performers); Kelvin Wong (P.A.); Dennis Shafer (video); Yiannis Christofides (sound)

FREE admission, champagne reception to follow.
Seating is extremely limited – please RSVP to reserve: shoshona4real@gmail.com
