We believe the environment around us exists as we see it exist, yet our own seeing is in fact erroneous. The rate at which things come to pass is a dynamic and complex evolution, often too fast or too slow to witness in detail. We interpret a strict translation of what we see at the rate we are physically able to see it and we are unable to extract our interpretations from our perception.
Apophany is an immersive video installation that explores the cross-section of cultural and biological metamorphoses. It is a dynamic examination of the speed at which the world around us moves; time outside of itself.
