Most of the time, we start in different places and end up together. And there is a magic in that, in its randomness, its hopefulness, its singularity of chance. Sometimes, however, we start in a similar place, but at different times – and naturally end up in the same place at the same time.
The Invisible Dog began its life as a flea market in 2009. To make space, to make money, to fill the space anew, what had been inside 51 Bergen Street needed to be sold off.
In so doing, doors were opened and friends walked inside. The rest is our history together.
In the early 1960s, at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, three friends started a bazar together – to match their passion for design, collecting, fulfilling their (and our) curiosity for the weird and the new. These friends and their bazar became diptyque.
diptyque is the most recent pop-up at the Invisible Dog.
To celebrate this union, this common dedication to creating space where people can experience something new (and carry it with them after they leave), diptyque will present a bazar inside the Invisible Dog from featuring items from their 2014 and 2015 collections to purchase as well as the opportunity to glimpse and preorder from the 2016 collection.
10% of the sales from this bazar will go directly to the Invisible Dog to fund a commission that will again bring you the opportunity to experience that which you never have before…and may never again.
