The First Time // Thierry Thieû Niang

  • The Invisible Dog Art Center 51 Bergen Street Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

Through this project, choreographer Thierry Thieû Niang brings together people from different walks of life: children, adolescents, elderlies, women, and men to question the meaning of “the first time.” Using words, gestures, sounds, images, and stories, the diverse group of participants will explore the themes of welcoming, listening, being present, understanding, and taking care of each other in ways that are intimate, supportive, and encouraging. In this precarious time, it is necessary to keep our sense of community and remain connected, and we can do so by sharing our stories and commonalities.

Schedule of the workshop:

From July 18 to 29, 2022 Monday to Friday from 2 to 6pm
at The Invisible Dog, 51 Bergen Street, Brooklyn

The workshop is free. Snack and refreshment are offered every day.

To apply to the workshop, please email lucien@theinvisibledog.org
Tell us a little about you: your gender, your age, where you live, and the "the first time" story you want to share with us.
