The Invisible Dog and the Consulate General of Switzerland present New York's first Romansh Crash Course Brunch.


Join us on at noon sharp for the first ever Romansh lesson in New York City, hosted by Chasper Pult, a Swiss translator, professor and cultural mediator famed for his commitment to the preservation of the Romansh language. Celebrate the 85th anniversary of the recognition of Romansh as the fourth Swiss national language with us over a traditional Swiss brunch with famous Swiss cheeses and learn some snippets of the closest language to Latin still spoken today. Chasper Pult was born in Sent in the lower Engadin in 1949 and works as lecturer, translator and cultural mediator. After attending school in Chur, he studied Linguistics and Romance Languages and Literature in Paris and Zurich. He presided the Lia Rumantscha, the umbrella organization for all Romansh-speaking individuals and organizations, from 1992 to 1996 and led the Centro Culturale Svizzero in Milan from 1996 to 2001. A speaker of all four national languages, he is famed for his activities regarding the preservation and promotion of the Romansh language.
