The Invisible Dog is thrilled to present as a part of Strand for Women, Eileen Ahmadpour’s Peeling pomegranates, A Ritual of Love and Presence at Atelier Jolie from 12:00-3:00pm and 6:30 - 8:30pm
Since moving to New York, I’ve deeply missed my father’s lovingly peeled pomegranates. Pomegranates have always been a wondrous muse to explore. Enjoying them is brief and momentary, but the process of peeling them is laborious. The pomegranate seeds are fleeting, red like flesh. Although the seeds don’t have much flesh, the aftertaste lingers for a long time. When opportunities to gather are scarce, we still find time to peel pomegranates together. We invite you to join as we learn to peel away and serve pomegranates to celebrate the opening of this exhibition
