The Unarrival Experiments #1 is the first excerpted embodiment from Ni’Ja Whitson’s forthcoming hybrid book: Time Trickle ‘Cross You (The Hunted), the second in a trilogy of works that (re)imagines non-binarism in Black/Queer histories and mythologies. The Unarrival series explores the vaporous body: those who refuse to become and exist in the noplace, the act and strategies of nonbeing as ancient futurist technologies. It looks to find the bodies where there are none. It explores liminality as a locale of the free and the sacred for the hunted of us.
Performed by The NWA Project — Kirsten Flores-Davis and Ni’Ja Whitson.
Co-Presented by The Invisible Dog Art Center and Brooklyn Arts Exchange – BAX.
