Happy Anniversary

Dear Friends,

Happy anniversary! One month we have been confined in NYC.

While we are home, marvelous things are happening around the globe...or just around the corner.

That's why, as a gift to celebrate this anniversary, I offer you a world tour in "Home Class" (much better than in First class, trust me), to visit some beloved friends with beautiful imagination and delicious stories to tell.

Passover, Easter and Ramadan, are full of stories and it's a perfect time - now that we have time - to read, listen and learn about everyone's history, tradition and practice.

For instance what can we do, every day, to show respect to other cultures?

I remember this story: Lucie, my mother, was slowing down her activity in the kitchen during the month of Ramadan, to not bother her muslim neighbors with the aroma of her cooking during their fast.

So now, if I was offering you to cross the Rea Sea without getting your feet wet, would you believe me?

No matter if you are a believer or not, Italians say: se non è vero, è ben trovato.

En route, mauvaise troupe, we actually start our tour in Italy.

First stop Venice where Invisible Dog artist Anne Mourier is confined and stuck there for more than a month now. She sent me three typical Venetian recipes to cook together this week. And then, we will savor the dishes, our feet in the clear water of the canal, a Spritz in one hand and a lover in the other one.

Arrivederci Venice! We hop aboard the Visemar One Ferry to Alexandria, Egypt, where the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism offers virtual tours of major historical sites including the famous Ben Ezra Synagogue in Cairo. And we won't leave without giving a hug to Nazli, Colin and my family (it may take hours, sorry...)

Yalla Bina! From the tippity top of the Pyramid, another Invisible Dog artist, Oliver Jeffers, whisks us away for a full Earth Tour on Earth Day and the launch of a new movie inspired by his book, Here we are. Who's better than Oliver to tell us stories? A quick coffee and ...

...Bumbum! We are already exhausted with so much travel - why the hell did I leave Bergen Street in the first place at the beginning of this email? Just landed in São Paulo, where Florence Carmont will take care of your body during an online private session of Pilates. I promise, you will feel much better. You don't believe me? Come touch my butt...

Giddy up! To our great fortune, teleportation brings us back to our beloved Brooklyn where photographer Simon Courchel presents a new series called Confined view, a travel through the emptiness of the crossroad right below his windows.

All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree said Albert Einstein.

All our friends as well. We miss you so much!

Thanks for joining the tour, back home now.
Travel more, dream more, believe more, stay young and stay safe.

Coronarely yours,
Lucien Zayan
Director
