A Monday to End All Mondays

Dear Friends,

Imagine that your lover who brings you a breakfast in bed every morning for three months suddenly stops.

For the last 100 days, every Monday, I wrote you this newsletter with the same pleasure as if I was bringing you a breakfast in bed.

And this is one will be the last one.

During three months, we rollicked together, trying to keep a light spirit in spite of heavy situations and frightening moments. And we did so much:

We cooked 25 recipes with Lucien Chef Ambition, we raised $18,000 to support artists in need with Anne Mourier's Taking Care Fund, we commissioned 10 artists for Pride Music Video Festival, we collaborated with dozen of institutions, we read, we watched, we smiled, we cried, we talked, we exchanged.

So many people I would like to thank for being supportive during these last months, people I talked with every day, every week, by email, by text or over the phone, people who have supported the Invisible Dog with their donations or just with their thoughts, people I have collaborated with, but there are two persons in particular I would like to give a very special thanks:

Arly Maulana, "gallery manager without a gallery to manage" at The Invisible Dog, who was in the shadow all the time, with his legendary discretion and efficiency, making sure that everything worked well and smoothly.

Stephen Morrisonthe voice behind the camera during the cooking classes, who answered to all my questions nights and days, edited this newsletter every Monday, and who never complained because I was too busy on Monday mornings to bring the breakfast in bed.

This is the 18th Monday newsletter, a number with so much meanings. I smile to the coincidence.

We still have a lot to do in order to make our world, our countries, our neighborhoods, or societies better. Remember that any action, from your screen to your vote, from your donation to your protest in the street is essential in order to bring the change we need.

Oh, last thing: thank you so much for the numerous thoughtful messages you were sending after receiving this newsletter. I saved them all and I will miss them all.

For ever (and very very soon indeed),

Lucien Zayan
Director
