Eona Gao

Eona Gao is a New York-based mixed-media artist. She received an MFA in Interactive Arts from Pratt Institute. After working commercially as a full-time designer in New York for 5 years, she returned to her journey where her passion was as an artist.

It started with video works in 2010, and then Eona Gao found her work with many different art forms such as mechanical interactive installations, kinetic sculptures, and digital images. She loves to present movements in the physical world. Her work reflects the relationship between time and space to reveal her thoughts about herself and this world.

Eona does not only care about the different forms to present her work, she is also exploring different materials, such as wood, ceramic, paper, and textile, which bring different experiences to her spectators.

Eona was born and raised in China and now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
