Starting August 24, 2020, la Salle A Manger moves into the Garden of the Invisible Dog.

The garden of the Invisible Dog is about 2,000 square feet, with trees, plants, flowers, a little fountain. A secret oasis in the center of Brooklyn.

With this outdoor space to guarantee your safety, Lucien Chef Ambition offers luncheons or dinners on socially-distanced tables around the garden, with the same quality and creativity as usual.

Earth needs healing. We need healing. Our connection to the earth needs healing. Anne Mourier is proposing to wash and massage your feet in warm water (another symbol associated with the Feminine) and Marseille soap in a compassionate gesture. She would like to discuss your feminine side, taking care and our relation to Earth with you.

One audience member, surrounded by a tunnel of blue light, descends towards a single performer behind a wall of glass. In a 9 minute and 2 second performance–the female record for static apnea–this performative installation explores how far one might be willing to go to save a life.

Brothers Steven and William Ladd have been working with inmates in the NYC Department of Corrections for the past nine years as part of their art practice. Their experiences have been humbling, emotional and an incredible way to connect with inmates. “No one’s ever cared about me enough to have a conversation like this,” said one inmate during an interaction. The Other Side is an exhibition of artworks inspired by moments like this.

For their third collaborative project, Artists Athena Malloy and Connor Voss will set foot on 51 Bergen for a two-week residency. They will begin the intermediate stage of constructing an evening-length production, which will be performed at the Invisible Dog in Spring 2021.

The effort of the PRIDE MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL is to put money in artists hands, to respect the labor of their work, engage with a wide audience online, and celebrate queer creativity!

Over the course of 2018, Sumi Clements and Taryn Vander Hoop travelled intermittently by Camper Van around the country researching ideas of how geography shapes ideology, in conjunction with the social theories of habitus and performativity.

Odalisque is a performance by Peter Clough in which he reimagines the classical reclining nude as a gender non-conforming queer bondage submissive. Sculpture, projection, text, live performance, and music come together in an immersive environment that complicates power relations between sub and Dom, viewer and performer, subject and object.

The Invisible Dog is pleased to present a new work by Paz Corona, a Chilean artist who has been living in Paris since 1973. Influenced by Claude Monet’s, Corona presents a new perspective of understanding the history of Chile.

The Elizabeth Krief and Jacques Manardo Artist Residency Program at The Invisible Dog offers artists of all disciplines and nationalities the opportunity to reside in New York City. We are pleased to announce that the sixth resident artists will be Fabia & Ryan Mendoza (Germany) from March 1–31.

A series of dinners in which we slice into and chew over one of the twentieth century’s stranger artifacts, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller.
